by: Mack Jerald Rozario, one of our IELTS students
Would YOU like to Get Band 7.0 in IELTS in your first attempt ever and with the best teachers of Dhaka city? I bet the answer is YES, and the good news is – it’s possible!
Mack Jerald Rozario, one of our IELTS students, has sent a few tips to help you reach this
goal. Here they are:
“I am happy to inform you that I got 7.0 overall in my first attempt, without any confusion. I had 3 months for my preparation and my native language is not English. I completed my education in Bangladesh.
Here are some of the strategies and tips I followed for the IELTS test and I was successful with 7.0 band.
I had a preparation time of 3 months. I utilized it for as much practice as possible. I used to spend a minimum of 2.5 hours per day (exclude the weekends please). I started off with the course and books of EnglishA2Z and Insight into IELTS. This course gave me an orientation towards the exam as I knew nothing about the exam initially. I tried to remember the tips and applied them during the practice tests. My practice tests were from Cambridge books also.
The first few days, I did whichever section of the test I was comfortable with. Later, say the last 5 days, I did the entire test at a stretch, so that I can comfortably sit for 3 hours. Coming to the individual sections:
Listening: This is my favourite part of the test, I practised listening by watching movies, listening to English songs and listening to news along with IELTS practice tests.
Reading: it was never a problem for me, I always got good scores in it. But I suggest you to follow Bobey Sir’s tips and practice as much as you can.
Writing: Firstly you should make yourself aware that what the actual format for writing is. Secondly, always try to practice within the time limit so that you can revise and check your writing that increases the probability of getting good marks. Finally, I will say that this course is a complete guide for writing, just practice as it says.
Speaking: Do not take speaking as a burden instead take it as fun. Chat with friends and family in English, talk to yourself in English. Think as if you do not know any other language. Finally, I recon EnglishA2Z is the best in this town which helps to make up the dream.
Hope this turns out to be helpful to many of the IELTS test takers. Good luck!”
